Must-have Android Apps

If you have had an Android phone for awhile, you probably already know what you need and what is available when it comes to apps. But if you have just left a mobile shop with your brand new HTC Wildfire S or some other Android phone, you might be slightly overwhelmed by the sheer number of apps. This is why we have decided to try and help new Android users to quickly equip their phone with some of the applications that just about anyone could use and should have on their phone.

Dialer One

If you have been browsing the Google Market you might have stumbled across a number of apps that are offering to add new, different functions to your phone, but there are some that are simply improving some of its basic functions. Dialer One is just such an app. It gives you improved dialing options that are perfectly organized to simplify making a call and searching through contacts. Now, some might be skeptical and claim that the process is simple enough, but even such people would change their minds if they tried this app, and that is what’s so extraordinary about it.
aContacts
Another app along the same lines, aContacts is supposed to give you additional options for organizing and searching through your contacts. Again, there are people who definitely have no need of such an app, but there are those who might find what this application offers to be extremely useful. If you are not sure if you might be one of them, you should definitely give it a try, seeing that it is completely free and that you will not have to suffer through seeing ads if you do decide to give it a test run.

Dolphin Browser
Now, calling and contacts apps can be more than useful, but, as of recently, a great number of people are using their mobile phones for browsing the web more frequently than for making a call. Even though Android’s default browser is quite fast and reliable, it also somewhat lacking in options. This is why you might be interested in getting Dolphin installed on your phone. It has a number of advantages over the default browser, including the easy switching to mobile view for pages that are just too large to be fully displayed on your phone, to tabs that will make switching from one page to another as seamless as it is on your home PC. You should definitely consider getting this app even if you are not frequently browsing the net.

Easy Uninstaller
This is a bit of a meta-app, an app that deals with apps. If you have been trying out various applications, and for whatever reason, found them lacking, you will need a quick and easy way to uninstall them. This is especially true if you are doing this on regular basis, always searching for a perfect app. Easy Uninstaller lets you access the uninstall menu in just one step, gives you a number of details on apps, and even lets you mark all the applications that you want uninstalled and purge them from your phone with just one quick tap of the screen.
